Welcome to Elevate Cities

Introducing Elevated Tracks 305, a citywide call to create Miami’s next anthem.

We’re inviting creators across Miami to write and submit a love song to Miami that captures the soul of our city. The rhythm. The pride. The culture. The belonging. Miami, it’s your turn to be heard.

SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 30, 2026! We’ve seen strong early entries, and we’re calling in more voices - especially the next generation of Miami creators.

More time. More voices. This is your moment!

$10,000 is on the line to create Miami’s next anthem. Submit your track via the appropriate link below (Adult or Youth).

A citywide call to create Miami’s next great anthem

What does Miami sound like to you?

Maybe it’s the rhythm of Little Havana, the pulse of Wynwood, the salt air of Biscayne Bay, or the late-night glow of the city’s music scene.

Elevate Miami, the University of Miami Frost School of Music, and Guitars Over Guns invite you to write and submit an original song for and about Miami.

We are looking for songs that express pride, belonging, resilience, joy, memory, and love for Miami and its people - songs where Miamians can find their own story.

All genres are welcome, including pop, Latin, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, fusion, indie, electronic, classical, spoken word with music, and beyond.

Selected finalists will be celebrated publicly and amplified across the city, with opportunities for live performance, storytelling, and citywide recognition.

What we are hoping to hear

This is not a songwriting formula. Every genre and style is welcome. But the songs that tend to rise to the top often do one or more of the following:

  • Capture a feeling about Miami that people recognize instantly
  • Tell a story about the city, its neighborhoods, or its people
  • Create a chorus or hook that people want to sing along with
  • Express pride, love, memory, or resilience connected to Miami

A great song might make someone say: “That feels like Miami.”

Two categories:

  • Youth: under 18 at time of submission
  • Adult: 18 and over
